Hopefully, by now you’ll already have a vague idea what you’ll be doing for New Year’s Eve. I have some suggestions inspired by our favorite best-dressed celebrities of 2013.
1. Shine bright like Rihanna
Opt for a little bit of sparkle and channel the ultimate rude-girl, Ri-Ri, in one of her trademark crop tops. You won’t have to worry about being over-dressed but, equally, this top and some sparkly block heels will put you in the party mood.
2. Make a statement like Diane Kruger
Diane always stands out on the red carpet by choosing quirky cocktail dresses and she particularly likes a skater skirt. This dress will be flattering and won’t leave you too over-exposed if you’re out and about in town. We suggest you wear a bright sandal or court shoe for that added colour pop Diane loves.
Rock ‘n’ roll with it like Kate Moss
If you’re popping out to watch the fireworks, you can’t do better than a faux-fur, inspired by the ultimate party gal, Kate Moss. Add some skinny leather trousers (H&M do great value ones if you can get them), lashings of black eye liner and a statement tee and dance till dawn (or at least until your feet start hurting).

. Mix casual and couture like Alexa Chung
Okay, I’m not actually suggesting you start buying couture – I don’t know if Santa was that generous this year. However, you can make it look as though you are by mixing casual basics with high impact pieces. Pair a grey knit (Alexa loves them) with an embellished pencil skirt. Then, add a pair of cute flats and some red lippy and you’re good to go (and you’ll be cosy to boot).
5. Keep it cute like Kate Bosworth
Boho fan, Kate, loves a cute 60s shift dress, teamed with grungy boots and bed-head hair. Wear this gorgeous mini dress from Topshop with some cut-out biker boots for a stylish and comfortable New Year. I prefer it with a bare fashion leg if you’re brave enough; if not, just add black tights.
